Overall...

The first 10 sec and the last 20 sec are the best parts.

I don't know, cool sounds... but it could be something more...

Good start.

I like the backing piano, twinkly parts the best. Sorry that's the best way I can describe them.

But the melody is pretty good too.

Aydin-Jewelz123 responds:

Thanks :D

Epic

Well done.

I can follow the script without the script...

Devastus responds:

Awesome, that's exactly what I was practicing to do. I guess I succeeded then :P I'm not too experienced with Film Soundtrack composing style, which usually requires more varied melodies and feelings packed in one song.

Thanks for the review.

Impressive

I'm a fan of lots of melody, and this music has that going on. I'm not really a fan of this genre, but this I like.

If I have one constructive critique it's that it seems to lack some focus... but in general it flows so well it's not really a problem.

I like the change ups
Cool drum beats
The eclectic structure really works well

-
The drums could be programmed to sound a bit more natural, the beats are good, but it could use a smidgen of more polish
There needs to be something to put the whole piece into a cohesive whole. to tie it all together, it could be anything really... or maybe go back to the first melody a couple of times

Gorgorothx responds:

haha I know exactly what you mean. This was just kindof a mashup of different ideas... I just said fuck it and made it into a song. Thanks for listening, and not just zero-bombing it after 30 seconds of being posted like some douchebag did ;)

I liked the intro especially the very start of the song
And after the intro the build to the actual song is cool
Nice arpeggios
-
Everything in the piece seems like it needs more.
The intro part, it sounds like it should be more mysterious and unknown. It doesn't progress.
It needs a melody of some sort to stand out.
Arpeggios over and over get boring,

Zenan responds:

Totally agree, I've recreated the whole intro now, I'll be updating it soon. Thanks!

Good

Nice composition.

The build is good.

I think it might need an over the top solo, or something with more grit in it.

The chromatic runs aren't really needed too, their just sort of distracting and kind of out of place. At least my ear goes right to those, when they are really just in the background.

SolusLunes responds:

I LIKED THEM >:(

Good composition, and music story telling.

Overall I like this music. It flows well, and has a good progression.

Some of the instruments don't sound so great. Like the bass drum that kicks in 1 min into the song... not so great. I kind of expect a more orchestral tympani sound or the synth equivalent.

Still good though.

Aeris responds:

Thanks dude,
As you read in the edits, i chose to keep the bass drum, just kinda prefer to have that low, bassy, almost heartbeat effect. Thanks for the score, and thanks for the comments C:

Good stuff

I liked it. I want more of it.

Maybe a more fleshed out B section, that's about all I would want out of it.

DavidOrr responds:

I may expand this out at some point, so that will be taken into consideration!

Mood music isn't really my thing but...

This Sounds pretty good. I could see it in a game...

I make music using computers. Most of my music has a decidedly video game flavor, so that's the genre I put it all in. I'm a fan of older game music, where the melody is front and center. Other interests: Mathematics, Comedy, Thinking.
